How to recognize a right-wing blogger?
http://gazivicious.com/2006/10/29/how-to-recognize-a-right-wing-blogger/

One little comment asking him if he is a right-wing nut makes him go on a crazy rant against you accusing you of being a communist, leftist and unpatriotic even going as far as questioning your military service saying how you’re bragging about it. He will compare you to John Kerry like that is something to be ashamed of. Right wing blogger will be the only person left in this country who still believes that Swift Boat Veterans For Truth were right and John Kerry was wrong.

He will link to Michelle Malkin not even knowing that she is just a propaganda machine for the GOP and a person who hopes that by making outrageous comments can extend what’s left of her career. Sadly, making outrageous comments in our country will help you get a book deal and few guest spots on Fox News.

He will attack ACLU and will become a member of Stop the ACLU, and in true GOP fashion smear it and attack it as being communist. I bet some of these members still believe that Martin Luther King was a communist and that John McCarthy was a patriot.

Yes, he will be considered a patriot among his friends at FreeRepublic, typing away at his keyboard in the safety of his home, while some of us veterans who served and still serve (Hint: I re enlisted to stay in the Army for another four years) who disagree with them are “harboring hateful and demeaning views about America”.

So for all of you that are offended by my views, in order to better understand me, I will list them in an unorganized fashion.

1. I love America. I love the Constitution and the Bill of Rights
2. I don’t like abortion but why should I impose my will on other Americans
3. I support death penalty
4. I don’t like flag burning but if someone does it in protest, so be it.
5. I support Gay rights and Gay marriage. What someone does behind their closed doors is really none of my business especially since Gay marriages last longer than Heterosexual ones
6. I am religious and will never impose my views on other people (religious or not)
7. I am for family values which makes me not like the Republican Party these days
8. I like small government, less taxes and less spending (two out of three makes me vote for the Democratic Party this fall
9. I don’t like fake patriots hiding behind their keyboards and radio microphones telling us what “we” did and how “we” should act. Who’s we? What gives you the right to put me in the same category with you.
10. I will follow all lawful orders given to me by my Chain of Command.

I am here to stay.

1. Glad you're here.
Personally, I oppose the death penalty, but differences of opinion make life interesting, and anyway I agree with many of the rest of your positions. I dunno if I'm religious or not--depends on definitions--but I certainly don't mind other people being so. I have no particuloar urge to convert anyone to anything, including to my own beliefs, which I view as tentative and subject to change without notice anyway.

So, welcome.
