What you're seeing is skewed results. Many FR members have Alexa software, a spyware program, installed on their computers. It is the Alexa that tracks the traffic and makes it seem like FR is getting so much more traffic when it's really only tracking people who have the spyware on their computers. So basically FR has more people with Alexa spyware on their computers, not more traffic.

I was also just thinking-since this pic is supposed to be about Halloween-why wouldn't the Freeps be up in arms? Every year I would get an anonymous pamphlet on my desk at work about the devil's holiday secretly supported by the voodoo-loving Catholic church. Strangely, I couldn't care less about Halloween once I reached adulthood and never had a conversation about being pro or anti-Halloween, but I was the only person ever to get these lovely rants.
