Word to the pundits: The majority of Democrats voted AGAINST the war
Edited on Sat Oct-28-06 08:21 PM by Greeby
If one more talking head, pundit or debate moderator comes out with "the majority of Democrats voted for the war" my head is gonna go like this :nuke:

A little maths for these idiots

Combined Democratic yays: 110
Combined Democratic nays: 149
http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2002/roll455.xml
http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/r...

And that's without factoring in the members who have retired, died or been defeated since that vote was taken.

Besides, if you actually read the resolution, you'll see that Shrub has actually violated several parts of it in launching and executing this war

1. I'm still angry , to this day, we don't have the facts that
the Congress and Americans DESERVE about the lead-up to war. The Congresscritters didn't have them either, so I can't be terribly angry about that. But what's Lieberman's excuse, and that applies to any other politician who still supports this bloodletting in Iraq.

2. Lieberman's a fecking psychopath
He co-chairs a modern incarnation of the Committee on the Present Danger, which ought to chill anyone's blood

3. And most of the rest voted for inspections
with war as a very last resort IF the national security required protection from an Iraqi threat. Nobody voted for "Operation Iraqi Freedom", the IWR doesn't say anything about liberation or spreading democracy to Iraq.
