4. Yuck! If inquiring minds found out,
they'd be in their local psyche ward or happily hopped up on massive meds to erase the moment they learned about Lynne and her sisters.

:scared:

5. I heard that Webb is being raked over coals for the fiction he wrote
a while back because it had "explicit" love scenes in it.
What f**king hypocrites the Repukes are.
I also heard that Webb is not capitalizing on his decorated war hero status, or the fact that his son is currently serving in Iraq.
I don't understand why the Dems do not take advantage of things like that.

Supposedly the majority of Virginians did not even know that Webb had served in VietNam and that his son is in the military!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All they knew about was that 30 years ago he made some dumb statement about women serving in the military!!! Why do his advisors let the Repukes get away with that crap???

6. then let's bombard Webb's office
with requests to talk about his Service, his son's Service and how much he supports his son in the military. It's not too late to put some more frosting on this cake, you know? (yeah, I'm craving cake and frosting right now. Sorry.)

12. Thank you!
I emailed him my brief thoughts on introducing his Vietnam service and his son's current service in Iraq. The military types in Virginia (and there are a ton of them there) would greatly appreciate knowing this.

11. Dems don't capitalize on things like that
because we understand the quiet dignity of serving with honor. We are not that crass. It is not about what we can get out of what we do, it is about serving itself. One of the most selfless acts one can do. In whatever capacity. The only way to deal with the decietful lies being told by the repukes is to loudly and forcefully refute them immediately. Acknowledging that he made the statement and then address the issue as he understands it today.

Sorry did not mean to go off into rant mode. Your post just struck me.

swiftboated again.
But there is no reason to ignore one's positive characteristics, particularly when the repukes are making one out to be the opposite of what one really is.
George Allen is a chickenhawk of the George Bush ilk, and it should be pointed out that Webb served his country, as his son is doing at this very point in time.
I do not think that is grand standing. It is merely stating facts.

15. Some could call it "capitalizing"
while others could call it "informing". Do those Virginia Voters who love and respect the military know that Webb served in Vietnam and that his son is serving in Iraq now? One can inform people of this without capitalizing on it. Like it or not, it could be the ONE thing that causes someone to choose the D over the R. Or the R over the D. For some people, having served or having someone in your family serving matters enough to get out and vote.

Just a thought.

She wrote this after that joyful twist of fate.

"I met Dick and he took me out in his horse-drawn carriage."
