| Dear Service Members Around the World; GettingOutTheVote for you!! |
|
Yesterday I was handing out literature about our candidate and asked a man if he would give his vote to him so that we could get our service members home safely and quickly. He told me he would be voting a straight Republican ticket because he's a businessman and wants to keep his money in his account. He continued on talking about how wishy washy Democrats are but I was hardly listening. He might have seen the tears welling in my eyes and thought it was for a lost vote but it was for our lost marines and soldiers and for this man's lost soul. He voted for money. I was tearful for our service members who raised their hands to defend and protect our country and will go into battle even when they don't believe in that war so their band of brothers stays intact. They do it for each other and they rely on us to make sure that the people making decisions in Washington are rational, thinking people who will not abuse their power. I thought about that man a lot as the day went on. I was dog tired yesterday and knew I'd be having an early night but the more I thought about this soulless person, the less tired I became. I spent the last hours of my night scoping out a plan to go out today and get at least 30 people to vote for my candidate to smother that one hateful vote. When I get too tired and think I can't do anymore, I'll remember you guys and what you're putting up with in Iraq and Afghanistan and know I CAN do more. Thank you for what you do for our country. We have not stopped fighting for you.

Wow I vote straight party too (all democrats) and yet I'm wishy washy? He wants to keep his money and he also wants our kids to continue to die in Iraq and he also wants the gop to hide the pedophiles in their midst and he doesn't want their to be any advances in medical science and he wants to destroy social security and he just hates it when all the republicans lies, and crimes and misdeeds are publicized. And we disagree with him right down the line. I'm not wishy washy one bit.

| 2. That's what drives me nuts, people voting for one issue that benefits |
|
only one person; themself. Yesterday's 'Worse person of the day' told me he was going to vote for the 'other guy' because his office has always helped him with his VA issues. There is nothing wrong with that, I actually think every Representative's office should automatically make every veteran's issue their top priority. But what about those soldiers being torn to shreads right now? The one's who will lose their life if this guy who always votes the way W says to, and thinks our marines and soldiers should stay there until 'whenever', stays in office? They're not in this district where someone at a desk is making sure veteran's mail is being answered. Am I wrong to think that's selfish?
Anyway, positive vibes on, I saw my '30' over the weekend and this week's new goal is 70 in person and as many as I can on the phone.
I see you served for 24 years, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
