tried to vote for Nelson and it voted for Harris. He raised a fit, but there was no report as to his vote. CNN Kitty Pilgrim reported this info. Yeah I know you guys hate Lou and he's a repug. At least he's talking about it.

1. How the fuck does that horseface think she is going to steal this
Poll: Incumbent Nelson still leads Harris in Senate race
BRENT KALLESTAD
Associated Press
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris of Sarasota holds a double-digit lead in her bid to win the Republican Senate nomination in September, but she trails incumbent U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson of Melbourne by 37 points in a general election matchup, a new poll shows.

Nelson, who is completing his first Senate term, was favored by 61 percent, while Harris had 24 percent and 11 percent were undecided in the survey released Thursday by the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

"It would be hard to come up with a reasonable scenario in which Sen. Nelson has anything to worry about," Quinnipiac's Peter Brown said.

The results were similar to a Mason-Dixon poll announced Wednesday that showed Nelson with 57 percent and Harris with 29 percent.

Harris has rejected numerous Republican overtures to leave the race because her campaign is so far behind. She has been plagued by staff defections and her links to a corrupt defense contractor.

She was favored by 40 percent in Quinnipiac's survey of the GOP primary while Orlando-area attorney Will McBride received 21 percent, LeRoy Collins Jr. 6 percent and Tampa Bay-area developer Peter Monroe 3 percent.

However, nearly a third of the respondents were undecided and 54 percent who supported Harris said they could change their mind.

"The special circumstances of the Republican Senate primary leave the door open," Brown said. "She has not yet completed the sale."
when:

Harris was seen favorably by 30 percent of the Republican respondents and viewed by 26 percent as unfavorable.

The telephone poll was conducted July 19-24. For the general election, it surveyed 1,541 registered voters and had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points. For the Republican primary, the poll of 340 likely voters had a margin of error of plus or minus 5.3 percentage points.

The poll also showed 58 percent disapproved of the way President Bush is handling his responsibilities, compared to 39 percent who believe he is doing a good job.

"We're in perilous times in our country and the president has had to make difficult choices," Gov. Jeb Bush said about his older brother's poll standing. "He's not getting credit for the economy which has been robust."

The governor, meanwhile, nears the end of his second term with a 56 percent approval rating.

17. A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse, of course.
That is, of course, unless the horse
Is the famous Mr. Ed.

People yackety-yack a streak
And waste your time of day.
But Mr. Ed will never speak
Unless he has something to say.

Go right to the source,
And ask the horse.
He'll give you the answer
That you endorse.
He's always on a steady course
Talk to Mr. Ed.

(I swear to God, I did that from memory, no Google search. Sometimes I scare myself.)

2. Dobbs talks about vote fraud AND corporatism
:patriot:
This is what worries me with Rove and the Bushler so confident of a win despite all THEIR polling saying they lose.
Could be a bluff. Lets hope, but phone call and doorknock too anyway!

3. Maybe the good folks here at DU can propose solutions
I'd make sure to call all the Dem offices in the state. The party chair of FL should be involved. Also, the NAACP has been bracing for situations like this.

I'd like to see billboards put up all over about it. Freeway blogs, etc. Publicize it far & wide. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

Is there a paper ballot option???

I've had just about all I can take of Krazy KKKatie.

I heard on Stephanie Miller that she is selling her house for more coal.
I can't wait to see the great train wreck after she goes belly up.
