They're in such denial.

I mean, Ken Mehlman sees no racial overtones in the clearly racist bimbo ad out of Tennessee: http://electioncentral.tpmcafe.com/blog/electioncentral/2006/oct/24/tn_sen_mehlman_explains_bimbo_ad

You have George Makaka Allen openly using a racial term during a campaign speech, when you just know he wanted to call the guy a nigger: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pL3Q9gUEvtA

I imagine big Dick Cheney and his cronies throw around the N-word constantly in private. You just know they do.

Chinese people are chinks, Latinos are spicks, Gays are faggots, Jews are kikes...you get the idea.

Oh, oh and people with Parkinson's Disease are fakers! http://www.truthdig.com/avbooth/item/200601024_limbaugh_maligns_fox/ :wtf:

As somebody else said, "who's really off their meds pray tell?"

And lets not forget Rep. Barbara Cubin R-WY who got mad at her opponent after a debate and said she wanted to slap him across the face.....we should point out that Thomas Rankin, a Libertarian candidate, has multiple sclerosis and uses an electric wheelchair. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061024/ap_on_el_ho/wyoming_house_threat_3

What a cutie-pie that Barbara Cubin.

If they're not mocking people of color, they're mocking the disabled.

And when they're not doing that, they're asking congressional pages to measure their private parts.

REPUBLICANS are despicable

Case closed.

edit: changed F-word to N-word. D'OH!

1.  agree with all of what you said
and want to add that I know Bush and the rest of those "crackers" who could have helped including FEMA and the Red Cross held back aid during Katrina because most of the people they saw on TV were black. Thank goodness whoever at the coastguard made the decision to pluck people off those roofs didn't care about race, they were more concerned about saving lives.

4. I've always maintained.......
that if you peeled back enough layers of any republican, you will find a racist bigot. Regardless of all the "values" bullshit they spout, their policies are embraced because they are designed to exclude minorities/poor from their vision of how America should be.

Some repugs are more adept at hiding that animosity. With others, those tendencies are right near the surface.

6. These people deal in winks and nods.
Even in the company of one another, they preen and posture. I don't believe they're candid and relaxed with one another generally. I think they look for advantages over each other even as they trade favors. It's business, not personal. (To a large extent, it's not that much different than any corporate senior management group - even Democrats.)

What I think is worse than their bigotry is the fact that they exacerbate and exploit bigotry. They'll 'suggest' to the hoi polloi that they're "one of the boys" in order to 'earn' the bigot vote. The only time they condemn bigotry is when it's politically convenient ... and it sure isn't heartfelt.
