Jenna Bush Visits (Future Family Refuge?Vacation Home?) in Paraguay
Jenna Bush on Charity Spree

New York, Oct 22 (IANS) Jenna Bush, daughter of US President George W. Bush, is recently into a lot of humanitarian work.

According to pagesix.com, Jenna, who has been seen less at social gatherings and parties, was recently in Paraguay on a 10-day UNICEF trip as a volunteer. Currently, she is in Panama doing her internship with the organisation.

She spent time with AIDS orphans and fighting child labour. But she also found time to have dinner with Paraguayan President Nicanor Duarte and his wife.

Let me be the first to ask: Why isn't this bitch in fucking IRAQ??

Wouldn't it be... I don't know... totally, absolutely, unbelievably AWESOME, if a couple of years from now, Junior had to take refuge in Paraguay in order to avoid prosecution in the U.S. and in Europe? I would just find that really entertaining...

2. One of the world's largest aquifers lies under that land.
The oil barons are simply positioning themselves to control the ultimate natural resource when theirs is gone.

6. Read all about Bush family crony and friend, Alfredo Stroessner
Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 11:04 PM by TahitiNut
He's what Junior aspires to. El Smirko models his "War on Terra" after Operation Condor.

7. good question
why is this "fucking bitch" working for UNICEF? isn't that some sort of children's charity? how fucking unconsionable! Why isn't she, I don't know, working for McKinsey like all good president's children?

such anger. let it go, you'll live longer. Maybe she's not in Iraq because she never joined the military? you know, like all the people who are in Iraq? Yes, I know about extended deployments and calling up of guards units. of course, but then they did all, at one point, sign up for an organization whose sole purpose is KILLING people. you may have noticed that this is what the army does? One little thing about signing up for the army, eventually, they're going to tell you to kill people. It's why they train you to shoot a gun.

Why be so critical of someone who chose not to sign up to kill people, or make huge sums of money based on family connections, or live a high-falutin party lifestyle like her cousins, but instead joins a children's charity?

I know, I know, her father is an asshole, so she must be as well. obviously. And my father was a drunk who beat my mother, so I guess if I'm not drunk and whipping someone, I just aren't living up to the family standards. Shall we judge you solely on your father's actions, and the fact you may have gotten drunk a couple times in college? I guess so.

15. well, that must be a shock to the Cooper-Hewitt
since someone named Barbara Bush keeps showing up for work.

not sure what a 'wee-lass' is, but I'd say early twenties would qualify, right? and doing coke isn't all that uncommon, especially among the young professional class in DC. Big deal.

Look, I think the elder bushes are as big assholes as the next guy, I just don't like to bring it onto the next generation until they earn it.

18. Since you brought up "the younger generation" and "earn"...
should those spoiled brats also have to EARN, rather than inherit, the millions that their goddamn family has looted from the public treasury...for generations? Maybe you don't mind supporting them in luxury, but I do.
The whole damned family is a cancer on humanity.

19. I seem to recall something about global warming and South America...
I don't recall the exact source, but I do recall something
about South America being one of the few areas on the
planet that will be able to survive worst case scenarios
presented by global warming, food growing etc...

20. Very Interesting from the Cannonfire:
Public intellectuals in both Brazil and Argentina fear that the usual US-paid mules will keep planting stories in the media about Arab "terrorists" at the Triple Border, thus justifying a permanent-resident visa for the US forces in Paraguay. What happened in Colombia is also evoked. The Colombian agreement with the United States stipulated visa-free entry for US civilians. But these "civilians" happen to be mercenaries, working for private security firms. The same process could happen in Paraguay.

Essential in the Pentagon machinery is the new Counter-Terrorism Fellowship Program, which is operated (with no supervision by anyone) out of the Pentagon's Office of Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict.
As with most neo-con operations, the Paraguyan episode involves three key factors:

1. Military suppression of anyone who won't dance to America's tune. A wave of independence -- not socialism per se, just a defiant "We're not gonna take it" attitude directed toward Uncle Sam -- is taking hold throughout South America. Paraguay remains the exception; a majority of that country wants a return to the days of Stroessner.

2. Natural resources. Rancho Bush (and the ten-times-larger Rancho Moon) is home to the region's largest aquifer, as well as gas and (possibly) oil.

3. Drugs. Hey, the money's got to come from somewhere.
