Some Repiglican dumbass stole my neighbor's Dem lawn signs last night.
"That's all they've got," I said, when he told me what had happened. "That's their best shot at winning."
"That's for sure," he said. "They don't have much to offer, except dirty tricks."

1. You know it is Halloween
Your neighbor should maybe put some kind of surprise for the sign stealers....just saying...it's Halloween and all....:smoke:

2. That used to happen in area near where i grew up.....

Then one day a farmer decided to hook the metal wire that ran through the sign up to his electrical fence.

The thief yelled when he got shocked and the farmer shot him with rock salt.

4. There you go.
That'd probably take care of it. It happens to some extent every election year around here--it's kids following the moral example of the Great Leader.

6. Rubbing Habanero Pepper juice all over the signs might help

Of course, your neighbor should wear latex gloves while he is doing it. It is really, really painful. My boyfriend pickled some last week and forgot to wash his hands. He was in real pain after he peed.

8. Someone from the Condominium
Association called me today and told me it was in the condo by-laws that no political yard signs were allowed and I would have to take down my John Laesch yard sign. I asked him about all the Bush/Cheney yard signs in 2004 and he just mumbled something. I then asked him if it was OK if I put up a Denny Hastert yard sign and he started getting angry. I told him that this was a democracy and that the by-laws were obviously unconstitutional and hung up.

13. I used to have this really thick black grease called crater compound
Coat the edges of the sign with it. It's thick like tar, and doesn't wash off.

I had a realtor, who was stealing my for sale by owner signs, after I fired him.

A couple of signs with that stuff, and they quit disappearing.

Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 11:28 PM by Marr
I mean, goop it up. You'll ruin their jacket, and that's worth it.

*edit* Ooh, actually - look at Dr. Phool's comment two posts up. That's much better than vaseline.
