Poll question: If the Democrats gain congress, was teh election stolen?
Many of us assume that if the gop retains congress, then the election was definitely stolen, but if they don't, then how could it have been? With these machines, and the plain and simple lack of transparency with them, wouldn't it be plausible to come to the same conclusion if the Dems gain seats at all? There is really no way of finding out, because most of the votes are not being planned on getting counted at all(unless of course you count machine counting).

1. The Dems don't control the machines.....
Republicans do....pure and simple....our winning either means they couldnt chance cheating or they underestimated the democratic wave

4. Would it be plausible to say that with the media playing up the Dems chances
of winning in Novemeber, the machines will be ready with votes planted in EVERY single gop district, so that the Democrats don't have a chance? Thus would it be plausible to blame the losses Democrats will sufer in November on the media and their talking about the big chances Democrats have at winning the house?

8. That's a remarkably broad, yet unsubstantiated statement
But hey, why have facts when fear works so much better?

5. I know, hear the chorus say:

"They own the machines and the companies that make them. Democrats in Washington would never steal an election!"

Has anyone ever asked themselves: what if the elections weren't stolen, and we simply didn't have our act together? Loss is a tool for learning about oneself.

6. The attempt to steal it will take place
if they pull it off or not, remains to be seen.

7. this election...regardless of who wins...
can not be verified. We now know that statistics and poll results, unless used in another country, are no way to assure an elections accuracy. We also know that voting machines across the country, in different states, and in different counties in the same state have had a variety of 'issues', 'glitches', and 'malfunctions'. It is so nice that the media is paying attention now....two years after the fact, and too late to cover John Conyers' hearings on "What happened in Ohio" and the myriad of other 'stolen election' stories that have fallen by the wayside. Anyone, especially on this board, who has faith in our electoral system has very good drugs.

9. If it were, it would be stolen back fair and square.
Unless, of course, the elite would prefer to absorb the amount of damage to the wallet that would result if Bush were allowed to run amok for another two years...

I dunno.
