| Two weeks to go! Has Big Dawg Clinton made any plans to stump w/ Lamont? |
|
like he did with Lieberman just before the primary. He helped--Lieberman was ten points down and lost the primary by four--and Lamont needs help with about a third of democrats who still support Lieberman. Maybe if "Big Dawg" comes into CT and holds a big rally with Lamont it might help him too. As long as he doesn't say (as he did on Larry King) that the Lieberman-Lamont is a "win-win" for Democrats.

I'm just hoping that he still stumps for Chris Bell. That would sweet.

| 2. I think they have to invite him to stump with him. I don't think the Big Dawg |
|
can just go out and invite himself.
So do we need to tell Lamont to invite the Big Dawg?

| 4. I'm sure that they would love it |
|
and I'm sure they have made a request like many democrats around the country. He has to pick and choose and can't accept all, and maybe it would be difficult for him to campaign against Lieberman since they go way back. If I were Lamont though I would ask that he please ask "Big Dawg" not to call CT a "win-win" only if Lamont wins is it a real win for democrats.

to take down Lamont.
They NEED Lieberman to win, in validation and acceptance of supporting Bush in Iraq, because that is essentially where Hillary is still at, no matter how she straddles the issue in front of certain audiences.
They are also counting on Lieberman focusing his wrath on the Iraq withdrawal vote Senators who caused the rift - Kerry and Feingold.

| 11. Clinton: Lieberman-Lamont is a win-win for Democrats. |
|
You want to pretend he DIDN'T say that recently? Go ahead. Suit yourself. His meaning was loud and clear.

| 10. Deval Patrick is already way ahead. It's Lamont who needs all hands on deck |
|
but I am guessing that Clinton declaring Lamont-Lieberman a win-win for Dems sure did signal to Dem establishment to stick to his boy, Joe.

The more the scarier for Lieberman.
And the more the BETTER for the media attention on veterans supporting Lamont.

| 14. Yes, he did not long after Lamont won. And that is the public side that |
|
we all have come to know - - BUT - - but many of us are well aware of the other side that exists within the establishment framework.
You can pretend that establishment structure doesn't exist. but we know exactly WHY he made the comment he did about a Lieberman -Lamont race being win-win for Democrats.

| 8. If He's Gonna Show...The Weekend Before The Election Is The Time |
|
Hillary's already given money to Lamont and Bill came out a while ago about how he thought Loserman should have conceded in the primary and gone home.
I've long suspected there is something in the works here. Bill did come in and campaign for Joe at the last minute and that helped surge Loserman to finishing closer than the pundits had predicted. But it was the surprise of the visit that had more of the impact. I see the same thing happening here for Lamont.
Ned needs to use the "Clinton card" judiciously...use it too soon and its impact wears off. Here's hoping we see Bill and/or Hillary in New Haven on the weekend before the election walking rope lines with Ned...TV cameras rolling. Loserman won't know what hit him.
