9:29 AM i so wanted to go to that rally on sat

me: it was great!
there were maybe 300 people at one point
marched all the way up northbound congress, chris bell in the front, and van os and gilbert and some others were there, too
"hey hey ho ho, Rick Perry has to go!"
hahaha

9:30 AM Friend: hurmph
im voting for perry
only b/c the other candidates are so inept

me: bwhahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Friend: and perry is running on his strengths,

me: (intake)
Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahaha

Friend: technology jobs and how he handled katrina

me: I love the corporatocracy, too... I think I will vote for Perry, as well
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Friend: i watched the last debate

9:32 AM me: I also love electing as many people as possible who are cogs in the Rovian machine

Friend: and was shocked at how much more electable he was then the rest

me: LOVE em
yeah he speaks well... too bad everything that comes out of his mouth is total bullshit

Friend: well

me: I always vote for the cutest candidate, you know

Friend: youll have to send me links to what dirt he's been up to

me: I love tax cuts for the rich!
I love restrictions on abortion and women's health!

9:33 AM I love cutting thousands of poor Texas children off the CHIPS rolls! No healthcare for anyone!
Yay!
I love having a governor who says "Anyone who doesn't vote for Bush is un-Texan" !
LOVE HIM
He has such nice hair.
9:34 AM I love governors who sign abortion restriction bills into law at CHURCHES
It's so nonpartisan.

Friend: humm
why isn't our party getting that message out to the voters?

me: I love having a governor who gave a no-contract bid on the state run healthcare program to a group of his ex-staffers who set up a business in BERMUDA
In answer to your question$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

9:35 AM TV
media complicity
why would the media that is owned by the corporatists give free air time to views that the majority of people - people who actually have to work for a living - would like... that might make them NOT vote based on glossy ads and who's the cutest
???
The liberal media is only as liberal as the corporations that own them.
9:36 AM And you can't get on TV without major $$$$$$
so only the oligarchs get airtime
It's all very simple.
Machiavellian, but simple.
:(

Friend: ic
what abt grass roots
?

9:37 AM me: I am the grass roots
you see me on TV?
Most people don't care
they either are plain stupid or know that the elitists will never REALLY address their needs, so become apathetic
9:38 AM Oh, yeah, I also love how Perry keeps shoving standardized, high-stakes testing down teachers' throats, making result tied to funding for poor schools, and how the people who own the testing companies are his cronies. He's strong on education that wat

9:39 AM Friend: have you been atching the wire on hbo?

2. It think it's unfair to call people cronies here.
That does a grave dis-service to cronies.

In fact, "the people who own the testing companies" are members of the BCF. Neal Bush owns the company which supplies Florida with testing software- id imagine its the same for Texas.

So you see, cronies is too nice a label.

Bush. Crime. Family.

3. No, cronies is great.
It's a clique you'll never be invited into. It's the nasty days of high school going on forever.

5. I am frustrated here in Lubbock...
All we get on TV and the news is about Perry, Kinky, and Strayhorn. It is almost like the Democratic candidate does not exist. It really pisses me off. The only way you know there is a Democrat running is from the negative ads Perry runs against him.

7. We don't get them here.
And if he would run them here he might have a good chance. Kinky and Strayhorn are tied over Perry here in local polls.

8. What is interesting is that he says he is a Democrat and none of the
repubs will claim any political affiliation! I noticed that right away. *opps*
