Are Sweden's King and Queen trying to avoid shaking *'s hand? - pic
She is pulling her hand toward her, and he has his behind his back.

2. President Asshat still doesn't understand protocol?
A gentleman waits for the lady to extend her hand first.

Another day, another Bush humiliation.

41. That was my thought: first and foremost, you wait for
the lady to extend her hand in greeting before attempting to force a move a her part.

6. I love it!
You can really tell!! Wow, what a fabulous example of body language.

Bush is clearly holding his hand out to Queen Silvia. She's smiling...but you can tell she's observing his hand. She's definitely holding out...

Neither one wants to.

12. Bush was raised with the manners of an alley cat.........
poking people in the ribs, slapping them on the back, messing their hair.......he's more suited to be a greeter at a strip joint (not that I'd know anything about that ;) ) than being an international symbol of the free world. :puke: This fake cowboy, spoiled frat-boy is SUCH an embarrassment to our country! :banghead:

14. It isn't proper etiquette
to shake a King or a Queen's hand. Sounds strange to us Americans, but Royalty just isn't used to being touched by anyone, let alone Mr. and Mrs. Dufuss (or is that Dufass?). It'd be interesting to see whether or not they finally relented and shook asshat's hand. Yet another story for them to take back to Europe about Idiot Bush and his Vacuous Trophy Wife with the Weird Face.

The Brits are much more uptight about that than the Scandinavians are.

16. "Howdy! I'm Georgie. What's yer name, purty lady? Heh heh heh."
I do wish someone would teach that man the meaning of protocol and etiquette regarding the culture of other countries.

He thinks he's a king, though, so he probably feels like he's dealing with equals. Oh, wait a minute. What did I just say? Nevermind. He thinks everybody is an inferior.

26. He's in a classic gentleman's stance; one puts one's hand thusly
behind one's back when at rest, but still at attention. It's a very formal position and uncommon in the US.

However, if he were at ease his hands would be to his sides. He and his wife are clearly uneasy in the presence of the bushistas.

I'd break down and spit on bush's shoes.

28. Bush 41 -- involved in the assassination of Sweden's prime minister?
In 1986, Sweden's prime minister Olaf Palme was gunned down on the street. It has long been thought that George Herbert Walker Bush was involved in this assassination. Perhaps these people are thinking about that.

For more information, google "olaf palme george bush"
