An American teacher convicted of having sex with a 15-year-old student has been exiled to Canada as punishment in an unusual case that has immigration experts questioning its legality.

A U.S. judge gave Malcolm Watson a choice between serving as much as a year behind bars or agreeing to a three-year exile in Canada. Watson, a 35-year-old former teacher at Buffalo Seminary in New York state, chose Canada.

If Canada refuses to let him in, the guy is not going to get in period. This is probably the stupidest sentence (spelling?) I've ever read in my life.

6. I knew a girl in college who had an affair with a teacher in high school.

Was still living with him when I met her at UNLV. He was a real piece of shit, too. Soon after I met her she ended up moving away from him and in with some friends. I don't believe the calculus (yes, you read that right) teacher ever got in trouble either.

Edit - To clarify, they got involved in her senior year of high school when she was still under 18.
