OReilly's interview with the chimp: Very revelatory.
Edited on Sun Oct-22-06 04:04 PM by Gabi Hayes
At least from the snips I've heard, it seems to be. Bush, thinking he's in a protective environment, is much less guarded than he was with Stephanopolous, by comparison.

As such, he doesn't edit himself the way he did in the ABC interview, and shows his true colors: that of somebody completely detached from reality, who doesn't have a clue how to answer the simplest questions, and is even more inarticulate than he normally appears.

his answer to the question of why 60% of Americans are against the war is simply stunning:

O'REILLY: Sixty percent of Americans are now against the Iraq War. Why?

BUSH: Because they want us to win. They believe — they are wondering whether or not we have the plans in place to win. They want to know whether or not we have the flexibility on the ground to constantly meet the enemy.

it's been discussed here, I know, but I think it would be very instructive to hear the entire interview.

I love this, maybe a template for the SNL "Britt Hume" interview last night:

O'REILLY: This month, very bloody month for U.S. troops.

BUSH: Yeah.

3. His answer makes no sense...not that it's a surprise....
He is always talking about the plan....people want to know the plan....well it's as easy as outlining the plan...that is if one existed....

5. it's even 'better' when you listen, because he can't speak without
stammering uncontrollably. no way they could edit it out

Sam Seder did a great job presenting that segment on his radio show, along with pointing out how ridiculous his answer was, how nonsensical

that's why I put this thread up.

I can't believe they ran that interview. it's TERRIBLY damaging. far worse than the Stephanopolous interview, with it's gigantic 'stay the course' reversal

6. You are right...and every time he gets up and makes a speech
they loose more points across the country.....I think the American people are starting to realize that something is terribly wrong when he comes out and he is attacking the Dems and anyone that opposes them by calling them traitors.... because they realize they are included in that grouping....

My predictions...
I say the next two weeks will be the stuff that history is made of....I predict that if the Dems win both houses....* will have a meltdown unheard of by an American president....and I predict it will be in a public forum......

8. I'm sure it seems trivial, but...
when you click on the link (I haven't watched the video yet, though I note they "edited the transcript for clarity"...yeah, right), under the pic of Bush they have "president of the United States" - lower case "p"! Ha! I'll take every little warm fuzzy I can get....:toast:

12. So if 60% of Americans are against the war because we are losing
Then the other 40% must be for the war, because the insurgents are winning. Oh, that 40%? All diehard Repukes.

Why do the 40% hate us for our freedoms?
