Action alert : independent exit polls (Election defense alliance plans 1)

I have wondered aloud here whether there would be independent, non-"adjusted for real outcome" exit polls in the 06 election. I think having them is critical for obvious reasons.

A google search led to me to this page, and apparently Paul Lehto is on the advisory council. That made it bona fide to my cursory eye.

What I am missing is the status of the plan up to now. Is the independent exit poll in the works? Is money still needed? Maybe some Duers can fill me in...or know of other independent exit polls.

To be honest, it would only be logical if the DNC for example ordered just such a poll as well, and if international observers came to the US. I hear Jimmy Carter is good in election integrity.

2. Yeah, loooks very very good to me on closer scrutiny too

but unfortunately, I cannot get into their forum without subscribing using my full name. Kind of a big hurdle to me, I know I'm a chicken.
So I was not able to find out the latest on where the exit poll plan is headed. I'm still hoping some DUers can fill us in.
