GOP/RNC TO AIR NEW AD WARNING OF TERROR ATTACKS - VIDEO
Edited on Thu Oct-19-06 04:58 PM by truthpusher
the ad now on the RNC website: http://www.gop.com/

article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061019/ap_on_el_ge/republican_ad_1

GOP to air ad warning of terror attacks

(snip)

The ad portrays Osama bin Laden and quotes his threats against America dating to February 1998. "These are the stakes," the ad concludes. "Vote November 7."

Brian Jones, a spokesman for the Republican National Committee, said the ad would run on national cable beginning Sunday, but he declined to discuss specifics of the buy.

The commercial tracks with Republican Party strategy to make the war on terrorism a central theme of this election. It will air as recent polls show Republicans losing ground as the party best able to combat terrorism.

(snip)

The ad displays an array of quotes from bin Laden and his top lieutenant, Ayman al-Zawahiri, that include bin Laden's Dec. 26, 2001 vow that "what is yet to come will be even greater."

1. Excellent reminder about how Bush has done nothing to catch him.
The democrats should run a counter ad citing that Bush did away with the Bin Laden unit.

4. And should play that soundbite of his over and over and over...
"I don't really think about him much."

Then they should put up the article that quotes Sen Lott as saying that the President doesn't spend his days thinking about Iraq or Bin Laden. That should work out just fine.

You sometimes really have to wonder whether the Gop makes the best spots for the terrorists.
No one scares the public better than this administation.

7. .
Isn't it strange that the Gop can still milk for the third election now their greatest blunder concerning national security that killed 3000 people? They were in charge, they had the specific and imment warnings of people who knew what they were talking about but they did nothing.
In fact, Bush took a vacation for a month. Yet they run on being strong on national security and claim that the Dems are weak.

The suggestion of post 1 was pretty good for a spot though. As Clark pointed out numerous times, Bush let Osama get away.

14. Pretty much the most despicable thing a national party has ever run
Does nothing but inspire fear. As if you needed another reason to hate Republicans.

16. Still not scared enough to vote Republican.
Instead of putting plastic sheets on their bed maybe they should ask Bush why Bin-Laden is "not a priority".
