"Ex-President Clinton"???
This is how Yahoo described this story on their news page.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061018/ap_on_el_ge/clinton_politics

WTF? Isn't "Former President Clinton" more appropriate?

6. Actually, the article was never titled "Ex-President Clinton"
It was the link on Yahoo that said it.

3. It's from the AP ...
no surprise there. They have John Solomon has written three articles on Harry Reid that make him sound like he's a criminal, so don't expect, no, do expect, some "fair and balanced" reporting from them.

The article was not titled "Ex-President Clinton" - that's just how Yahoo
tagged it.

4. Actually, President Clinton is appropriate.
And that's not even a reference to the Bush/Cheney** theft. All former Presidents are properly called "President (Surname)" - even criminal "President Nixon."

NGU.

7. You know, I was kind of thinking that, but wasn't exactly sure.
I just knew "Ex-President" was wrong, wrong, wrong.

14. That's what I was thinking.
At least when a former president is addressed, he is always referred to as "President _______" or "Mr. President." I'm not sure about the rules for naming him in a news story. "Ex-President" doesn't really sound appropriate, though.

13. I can go back further than that
remember the show with Fred Willard (I think) where he ran a bar in DC and the former presidents were all life size muppets? Hilarious!
