Bush Team Rethinks Its Plan for Recovery
Washington Post | Peter Baker, Jim VandeHei | December 28, 2005 at 11:44 PM

President Bush shifted his rhetoric on Iraq in recent weeks after an intense debate among advisers about how to pull out of his political freefall, with senior adviser Karl Rove urging a campaign-style attack on critics while younger aides pushed for more candor about setbacks in the war, according to Republican strategists.

"I don't think they realized that Iraq is the totality of their legacy until fairly recently," said former congressman Vin Weber (R-Minn.), an outside adviser to the White House. "There is not much of a market for other issues."

1. What else would it be?
Any dumbass can cut taxes while running up a huge deficit. How much brain power does that take? He's still trying for a flat tax/fair tax and to overhaul(read destroy) Social Security but I think those seem very unlikely.

3. Oh, I don't know. How about the complete criminalization
of federal authority?

How about the silly DHS?

How about the evisceration of the CIA?

There is more. Granted, they are in the room with the 600lb gorilla, Iraq, but they are there.

2. The Washington Post continues the brainwashing
Overarching initiatives such as restructuring Social Security are unworkable in a time of war.

Is that the war for global domination where anyone that resist Plantation Earth is a terrorist? Sounds like a propaganda piece with some news in it. WarCriminal's plan to reform Social Security failed because he never put foward a plan that you could actually read, he has no credibility, and it was a way of evaporating up to the financial institutions. The war on global domination did not kill WarCriminal's reform plan. There never even was a plan.

4. I was more thinking
raiding the Social Security trust fund and letting some Ken Lay wanna-be run off with millions of people's retirement is just a bad idea in general but I guess I just don't understand the "intelligent design" of the all-knowing Chimperor.

6. Hanging Iraq entirely around the neck of GW Bu$h is wrong.
Even though he is the point man and chearleader in charge. The friggin' moron simpleton just ain't wired to pull the whole diastrous affair off. There were others more involved than Boo$h. PNAC and the oil and profit boys. I may be simple but I'm no fool. I want to know the answers to four basic questions regarding Iraq. Who, why, when and how.
It is this admin's Vietnam. No mistake about it.
