GOP abandoning Ohio (Leaving Blackwell to take care of it maybe?)
http://www.mydd.com/story/2006/10/15/231332/52

This worries me. Under normal circumstances, I'd be glad that an opposing party is pulling out. But when it's the state of Ken Blackwell, I suspect they can afford to pull out their resources because Diebold smiles upon them :(

1. Don't be worried, they are just totally screwed in OH
and they know it. Why waste good cash on lost causes? No way can BlacKKKwell make up that deficit, even with Diebold.

3. I don't mean Blackwell's own race
His impending loss is too obvious for Diebold-ing, but what if he uses his last election as Secretary of State to steal some of the closer races? The Senate race isn't polling that far apart, and some of the House races are close too

9. No, there will be theft and election day tricks
Here in Ohio, they have a multitude of tricks up their sleeves, including not sending enough machines to polling places, keeping doors locked at polling places when voters arrive, long lines, voter intimidation, etc.

4. Exactly. If the repugs 'pull out' it means the programming fix is in.
If they've maneuvered over to another candidate...it means they've got the vote software all set for switching....or the voter list purge/few machine tactic is in place....all set for that previous candidate.

6. .
Anything new about that story that Blackwell has to decide whether Strickland can stay in the race because of that registration issue? It was a thread here 2 days ago and I never heard anything about it anymore.

8. An enormous credit to Strickland and Brown
both have run fantastic coordinated campaigns, not giving any ground and fighting every GOP dirty trick in the book without backing down.

No doubt there will be election day tricks and thefts, but we have to pray everything will work out in the end. The margins may be too wide to sway and pulling out of a state three weeks before election day is only going to increase the gap.

10. I see this as a ploy to trick the campaigns of Strickland and Brown
to let their guard down. Then in the final days, the GOP will sweep in and snap victory from the jaws of defeat.

Remember they do have Diebold on their side and all they need to do is get close enough in the polls to make it look possible for the swing.

11. It won't work; Strickland and Brown will keep campaigining
Those two will keep working hard no matter what. They're not fooled. They're also working to make sure the rest of the ticket gets elected. They still need to defeat Betty Montgomery for AG and pick up more seats in Congress and the Ohio General Assembly.

I'm going to the Brown DeWine City Club debate next week. It should be interesting.

12. I have been helping out with phone banking for Brown
and Yes we are including Strickland information on those calls.
I too believe they will not be fooled, it was just my observation that, the republicans would try this as a ploy.

Another thing we are trying to do is make sure that Browns old seat is filled with a Dem.
