What Congressman Ney did is not a reflection of the Republican Party.”
And he is so right. To be a reflection of the Republican Party is to suggest something standing next to, but essentially outside of it, like a foil reflecting a jewel.
And I agree. Bob Ney's behavior does not stand separate from the Republican way of doing the people's business (and by 'people' I specifically refer to those geckos whom Bush describes as his base-- the haves, and the have-mores.). No indeed-- Bob Ney is the quintessence of the Republican Party and his criminality is their modus operandi.
So for the very first time, I find myself agreeing with something coming out of Tony Snow's face. It isn't your average election season.
