One of my RW friends is starting to come over to the light side!

Today I noticed that one of my conservative friends created a facebook group meant to show others the true Christian way to view homosexuality. He stated that after being exposed to anti-gay teachings throughout his life, he is tired of other conservatives using religion as an excuse to persecute their fellow human beings and that not only did Jesus tell us to show compassion and love towards each other but that he never even mentioned homosexuality. Aside from my dad, he is the only conservative I've ever met that doesn't view gays as the scum of the earth. I often tell my dad "There is still good in you, Father. The GOP hasn't driven it from you fully." Now I see that there truly is hope for RWers (at least the milder cases).
