1. Baker asked why Report nOT being released till after nov. 7.

2. and Baker saying the Report says it can not be Percieved as being Partison

3. she asked WHY---since troops and Iraqi dying now-why wait?--that

was his response.

4. Hamilton saying that we must give the iraqi a chance.

5. These two are going to write a book -on this issue

6. Ham. saying that Iraqi Study Group has not met to discuss recommen

dations and any and all news reports that they have arrived at a decision are speculative.

7. Bush* is well prepared to ignore any advice given by anyone.

8. Baker's statements are not advice and Bush knows it. Bush is already star

starting to back peddle saying we will adjust, etc. Bush knows that Baker represents the powers that be and he MUST play ball with them.

The very fact that Baker had tobe called in, shows how big a mess Iraq really is. I'm sure that we don't know the half of it.
