Ronald Reagan, in his emphasis on optimism, used to tell the story about the little boy looking thru a pile of horse manure because "he knew there was a pony in there somewhere". George W Bush could have been that little boy. He sees a pony in every pile of horseshit that is spread out in front of the American public. The failure in Iraq, his decision alone, is portrayed as a struggling "young democracy". Deficits of a quarter-trillion dollars per year are bragged about as part of a "great economy". He brags about all the jobs his Administration has created but he doesn't say that most of those good jobs are created overseas. He brags about his Medicare "reform", which was one of the largest boondoggles ever perpetrated on the American people. Thru it all, he has worn out his credit card. People that are still looking for that pony would do well to stop believing in George Bush's Santa Claus...
