Bush is planning for political pit stops in Missouri and Illinois as he races around the deck cheering on his crew and promising money, manna and power in the name of God and the Republican Party. The "crew" - the present Republican incumbents - continue to cling to every word from their leader, expecting him to deliver them to safety by morning. None dare to head for the small rescue boats. They huddle together with their instruments of noise, pretending it is music. And the rockets red glare, the band played on, bombs bursting in air...

The republican party is a sinking ship and bu$h, the Capitan and the rubber stamp congress, the crew and the bu$h lovers, the band.
