When the game is over, everyone has a drink and a laugh about how big the big guy's was and how small the small guy's was, and everyone goes home friends. All politicians know and play this game. Lyndon Johnson - whose mess in Vietnam was dodged by George W. Bush when it was going on and ignored by the Bush administration 30 years later - was a master at this game, and so confident he was once heard saying, "I got his p----- in my pocket" about Hubert Humphrey, and Humphrey was Johnson's (insert joke here) vice president."
