You have to admit that one thing the GOP does better than we do is cause really entertaining sex scandals.

Come on. When there's a Democrat involved in a sex scandal, it turns out to be the same old (fun) sex millions of men have every day. Screwing the secretary? Blowjobs? Oh boy. Didn't Fred in Accounting do those things? But a Republican sex scandal is really good. They always have underage males, gay hookers, sheep, dead people, all sorts of weird-ass sex they don't even put in cheap porn magazines.

The current entertaining Republican sex scandal is Mark Foley and whatever in hell he did with congressional pages. Right now we know Foley's a sleaze. We know when he goes to someone's house the fish stop swimming. And he's going to go to jail.

There are two things in this scandal we really need to focus on, and more Foley sleaze isn't one of them. We need to know (1) who's covering for him and (2) who else has been doing pages, and what they've been doing to them. He probably isn't alone in his perversion.

Whatcha say?

1. Depends
On what the information happens to be, I think. As the thing unfolds, there will certainly be more revelations probably who knew what and when, so I think that is important. There may be more pages come forth with information, one never knows what is next. I see it less about Foley's indiscretions as about "The Lie".

2. I would expect more. Probably on the cover up.
That's why the investigation was focused on those who enabled. They didn't use that word but it's there. That is supposed to be out in a few days, I believe. The committee is 50-50% Rep-Dem but any
Republican that seems to shield Mr. Foley will pay dearly in a few days at the election. They're
cornered. The revelations by Congress of the enablers will include the leadership, we already know
that's true so that's a huge hit. Then there may be a random element. Or the press may have another
gem. Lets get the  and relax. This is well above our pay grade but we can heckle ;)

4. The Ethics Committee will stall.
The story has peaked now so they will stonewall until after the Election.

6. No moratorium. No, no, no!
I want every seedy, smarmy, x-rated detail front and center. It's time to show the hypocrisy of the so-called "family values" party.

7. I'd rather have breadth than depth in this case
Example: There is a story on the front page of this very website that puts Karl Rove into the scandal. If Rove's there, Bush is probably there too.

If we can widen this out to take down the whole GOP, which I think is very possible, that would be much better than just taking down a few little-known Republican congressmen.

I want you to consider: It is a very longshot to prove Bush is gay. Say we can do it. The entire Religious Right would dump him like yesterday's garbage, and they'd throw the rest of the Pukes in with him...and the Pukes couldn't win an election for dogcatcher in a 100-percent-GOP town without the RR.
