district running for the House, and I'll be seeing her Wednesday. She's appearing with Bill Clinton and Ed Rendell. House seats have a sizable local element, so we can't take the national figures for granted. Lois is also a good candidate: only bad positions are on illegal immigration and Israel. She's too hard line on illegal immigration, supporting no form of amnesty. And her stance on Israel leaves them never open to criticism. But she's quite good on abortion, health care, keeping taxes on the middle class in check, Iraq, etc.

and under normal circumstances I would agree with you and feel a lot more confident. But with this horrid administration and pack of criminals nothing is normal. There are a lot of races and a lot of factors - a lot of time yet - the voting machines, the hold on the media - even though there seems to be a bit of progress here with the Foley thing - but still - there was some progress around Katrina and it went right back - so we have to consider the MSM - we can't take this for granted - we have to continue to work, send money and get as many people to the polls as possible.
