WHILE DRIVING THRU NORTH IDAHO THIS MORNING
I almost wrecked my car - staring me in the face was a HUGE billboard saying:

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH - VOTE DEMOCRAT

Let me tell you guys, if Idaho is thinking like this there truly must be going to be a huge changing of the guard.

3. And when the vote tallies get announced, if it's announced a GOP win
Edited on Mon Oct-09-06 04:56 PM by havocmom
The People are not gonna need any more evidence of election fraud. There won't be many who will swallow crap about the GOP pulling it out at the last minute.

Out here in eastern Montana, I am hearing what your billboard said. And like Idaho, if that is how eastern Montana is thinking...

10. Have you seen the polls in ID-1?
D-Larry Grant was ahead of R-Bill Sali 22-15 or something with almost eveyone undecided. The guy Sali edged out in the primary is trashing him at every point. Sali is hated by many GOPers in Idaho. Don't be shocked to see this seat flip, because even Idaho has had enough.

19. That's amazing
Isn't Idaho home to some of the worst pro-Bush "militias" and fiercely anti-government groups?

If that billboard has been left standing, that's a powerful message in itself!

23. Damn, that IS amazing!
The only other state that is more blatantly fire red would probably be Utah, with my home state of Wyoming running a close third. Even there I see that dimson is under 50 percent approval...THAT is something I never thought I would see.

24. Traditionally, N. Idaho was
Historically, the Idaho panhandle was the Democratic part of the state. There's a pretty strong labor union tradition there because of the United Mine Workers and the old Western Federation of Miners. Southern Idaho is traditionally Repug because of the heavy Mormon influence. Southern Idaho and the Panhandle are two different worlds. The Panhandle got a bad rap because the Aryan Nations s**theads decided to set up shop there. But apart from that little intrusion, the Idaho Panhandle is just like Montana and Washington State - a liberal, even radical, kind of populism bubbling just under the surface waiting for a chance to get out.

30. At least there's a chance for a change.
Gerrymandering may prevent the results from truly mapping to public sentiment, but there's a chance for the Republicans to be thrown out, for now.
