Seriously, how do we keep our newly elected officials (hopefully 20 or 30 in Congress) from becoming just like the Repugs we are throwing out? How DO we keep them from being corrupted by the corporations, lobbyists, and huge money being thrown around Washington? I always laughling joke it off to drinking "Potomac river water", but really, with the easy money available, how do we keep them Progressives and Democrats? I'd really like some ideas.

A) a five year hiatus so they can't go from government jobs to lobbying
B) federally financed elections including the Media giving free time for ads to candidates as part of their FCC licenses'
C) we need to take a serious look at PACs with an eye to reform
D) get an independent ethics committee that really watches the ethics instead of turning a blind eye in return for PAC contributions
those would be a start anyway.....
