2. they had Adam Putnam (R-Fl) and Rahm Emanuel (D-IL)
Rahm came through as an effective heavy hitter, said that the Repugs sat on what they knew
for years about Foley, used the "a principal would be fired over this." Putnam frantically
pedalling for dry land; brought up Clinton and tried to smear Stephenanopoulos with it,
which he did not appreciate, he replied that he had left Clinton's administration in 96,
that's one of the few times that I ever hear him reply during an interview.

Putnam also said they fired Foley within hours of the news of "explicit e-mails." They never fired him, he resigned after ABC broke the news. He tried to scare audience with the specter of the Dems including Conyers & Impeachment, Rahm Emanuel said that the repubulicans campaign on fear which I thought was a good comeback.

were guilty of sexual misdeeds and nothing was done about it. You can always rely on
Republicans to shoot off their mouths w/o looking where they are aiming. Looking back
I think that remark was a cheap shot coming from a member of Congress.

14. Dems need to take the point about fear one more step.
Why do Republicans campaign on fear? Because it makes people think that they have to accept less, because, if they don't they die. But politicians who campaign on fear don't tell voters that while they're accepting less, a few people who have a lot get much more -- which is the real reason Republicans campaign on fear. Fear helps republicans reallocate benefits and burdens of society. Most people get much less while a few people get much more.
