Character Counts!

So what kind of character is that that thinks that it is O.K. to:

• Protect a pedophile instead of the young people he is stalking from his position of authority, in the interest of maintaining power?
  
  
• Lie and manipulate a nation into a devastating invasion and occupation that kills tens of thousands and costs a nation half a trillion dollars and up?
  
  
• Assume guilt before innocence automatically of captured and rounded-up individuals?
  
  
• Attack the Constitution itself so that Americans can engage in torture of human beings?
  
  
• Steal elections to gain power and demagogues and sells fear all in the interest of consolidating power to make your rich friends richer?

Where are the Republican choruses of "Character Counts" now? It was such a handy catch-phrase for them when they and their followers and ilk couldn't stand having a Democrat in the White House. Yes, character counts, but apparently not for the party of Cunningham and Foley and Abaramoff and DeLay, no surprise.
