Three More Former Pages Accuse Foley of Online Sexual Approaches

October 05, 2006 5:20 PM
Brian Ross, Rhonda Schwartz & Maddy Sauer Report:

Three more former congressional pages have come forward to reveal what they call "sexual approaches" over the Internet from former Congressman Mark Foley.

The pages served in the classes of 1998, 2000 and 2002. They independently approached ABC News after the Foley resignation through the Brian Ross & the Investigative Team's tip line on ABCNews.com. None wanted their names used because of the sensitive nature of the communications.

"I was seventeen years old and just returned to when Foley began to e-mail me, asking if I had ever seen my page roommates naked and how big their penises were," said the page in the 2002 class.

The former page also said Foley told him that if he happened to be in Washington, D.C., he could stay at Foley's home if he "would engage in oral sex" with Foley.

It's against the rules. When a mod who understands the rules comes along, he or she will stop you from stalking.

A respectable Republican congressman would never say Penis in an IM chat session with a minor.

When I remember how some of the IMs were worded, I wouldn't be surprised if there was at least one case of sexual intercourse between him and a minor...

12. "This was no prank"

http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/10/three_more_form.html

<snip>

An online story on the Drudge Report Thursday claimed one set of the sexually explicit instant messages obtained by ABC News was part of a "prank" on the part of the former page, who reportedly says he goaded the congressman into writing the messages.

"This was no prank," said one of the three former pages who talked to ABC News today about his experience with the congressman.

32. Even if it was a prank (and I don't for one second
believe it was), it still doesn't excuse Foley from saying the things he did. He's supposed to be an adult, damnit. He should've been able to control himself, prank or no prank.

Foley is Congress's whipping boy (no pun intended).

It seems more and more likely he was put in his position so at some point he would be the one to take the fall.

Mr. Foley is the poster boy/fall guy to distract from other issues and most conveniently to probably distract from the heterosexual pedophiles that hide in the shadows.

25. I think it might be illegal to ask an underage page...
to take a picture of his dick, in fact that is sexual exploitation of children, something Mr. Foley supposedly fought against.

27. That ONE email where he asked for oral sex is the one that will
put him in prison! I listened to an FBI agent tonight on TV. He said as objectionable as it sounds, it's not illegal to talk sexy to a teenagerin an email. To make it a crime, he would have had to ask or offer sex, and attempt to set up a meetingor place to do so. As soon as I heard that line from that ONE email where Foley asked for oral sex and offered his house to stay in DC, I knew Foley is NOW toast for sure!!!!

31. "We will make you successful,"
Often implicit in the chats is an exchange of professional advancement in exchange for sex that plays on the allure of power that Foley used to entice one of the teenagers. Foley at one point promised to help him become the "stylish elite type" person the teenager said he wanted to be.

"We will make you successful," Foley promised, "as long as you don't mind me grabbing your (deleted) once in a while."

I have to wonder, who is "we?"
