When The Daily Show does it, it's comical. When an actual news show does it, it's an act of patriotism.

But I doubt we'll see it on any of the other MSNBC shows.

8. Parrot Video

Video of talking points repetition by all the parrot heads is becoming a standard that continues to amuse me as new talking points emerge. This is a like an old joke format with the lines updated daily, it never gets old.

I suggest that Keith Olbermann coin the term and introduce all parrot video segments with his pet parrot.

No doubt he could do one parrot video per day and fit it in with his other segments. Maybe something like this:

Or perhaps an animation. I remember an animated cartoon of a row of parrots on a tree limb singing a tune.

I am sure that he could implement the parrot idea better than I could even imagine. A google on "parrot video" gives raw material ideas.

The news department that produces them would probably become known as the parrot cage.
