My e-ltr to MSRNC re Alex WITT & SCARBOROUGH

From day number one of the FOLEY story, Alex WITT has not been covering the actual story on its own. She has been constantly MIXING extraneous history, politics, and playing at SHARING the blame-----------that is, claiming that DEMOCRATS have had sexual peccadillos, that DEMOCRATS are "SEIZING" on it for political gain, and otherwise deflecting attention away from FOLEY (and the Repubs) themselves.

This morning, Monday 9 A.M. ET, she and SCARBOROUGH were tag-teaming along these lines. SCARBOROUGH brought up CLINTON and Barney FRANK------------completely fudging that their failings occurred with CONSENTING ADULTS. The actual story with FOLEY is his being a predator with MINORS, besides that his party leaders covered for him.

Your entire MSNBC crew needs to get CLEAR on several points:

1) Homosexuality does not equal PEDOPHILIA.

2) CONSENTING adults are responsible for themselves. MINORS are not.

3) Covering NEWS means the CURRENT event with the PARTICIPANTS, not continually MIXING OTHER issues, events, and people into it.

Maybe send the same email to the main viewers email (which gets read by the bosses)? That's what I did to complain about Holy Joe's constant refrain: "I hit Republicans as hard as Democrats." Yeah, and I'm the leading contender to run the first sub-three second mile (at 235 pounds.)

3. Point #3 - Personally, I think it's interesting to put things in

historical perspective, though in this case, they are way off base. Affairs between consenting adults is nothing compared to pedophilia and sexual predators.

7. I noticed this morning that they seem to be...

covering for the House leadership. They did a bit on the Foley thing, and not one mention of the fact leaders of the House knew for sometime. Also they played up Hastert's call for investigations, they made it seem like he was leading the front.

I had to change the channel. :argh:
