GOP? GOP???? Let's call them what they rally are: RAMBLA!
The Republican-American Man-Boy Love Association! With poster boys like Mark Foley and enablers like Dennis Hastert (R-Chief Enabler), Tom DeLay (R-Indicted -- c'mon, y'think heh DIDN'T know?), John Boehner (R-OH), National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Tom Reynolds (R-NY -- and why did they go to the POLITICAL stringpuller so quickly?), Congressional Page Chair Rodney Alexander (R-LA -- who never bothered to tell the one democrat on the committee about Foley's filth) and John Shimkus (R-IL), RAMBLA should be the Republican Party's new acronym.

21. ROFL that appears soooo funny.
During the 1980's the news reporters would occaisionally would talk about NAMBLA.

That has to appear the wackiest criminal group I have ever found out about.

RAMBLA. LOL

3. Yeah, well. Let's quit this "GOP = pedophiles" BS, shall we?
Edited on Sun Oct-01-06 11:16 AM by bertha katzenengel
I wish DUers would tone down this "GOP is the party of pedophilia" bullshit. If anyone takes a notion to investigate the Democratic Party, they'd find the same small percentage of weirdos: from "inappropriate emailers" like Foley to out-and-out kiddy rapers.

5. Check out armchairsubversives.com, bertha.
There's not an equivalent Democratic list in existence afaik.
If there was, the repubs would be crowing from the rooftops about it.

I think we're in good shape with this whole RAMBLA angle. Besides, we've got 37 days left - time to pull out all the stops.

9. Perhaps you're right.
Perhaps the only difference between GOP and Dems is that Dems are more discreet.

AFAIC, there is the same percentage of sexual freaks across all demographics, all parties, all walks of life, all continents. I find it incredibly unfair to target one segment of the population like this.

Maybe it's because I'm gay. "Oh, all gays are child molesters, everyone knows that."

Any posts that jump on me for referring to fairness to the GOP will be ignored. They don't have exclusive rights to dirty tricks and mudslinging.

12. There's a BIG difference between dems and the GOP
These days, when we have a crook in our midst, we throw them over the side.

"Dollar" Bill Jefferson (D-Thousands in his freezer)? SsssssPLASHHhhhhh!

When they have a pervert or crook in their midst, they circle the wagons and alert the appropriate POLITICAL players! Ethics, shmethics -- and screw the pages, we're RAMBLA, we can do whatever we want!

15. "RAMBLA" -- is it the Dems' (or just DUers') new word-of-the-day?
Just like the * Admin's current word-of-the-day is "cut & run?"

How clever. "RAMBLA." :eyes:

...age group and if minors aren't safe from sexual predators in Congress, then congress needs to be investigated regardless of party affiliation. I say let the investigations begin, ferret out those congressional perverts, expose their hypocrisy on values and lies and get rid of them. This is like closet homosexuality, as long as it is in the closet and hidden those in power can be black-mailed and corrupted by corporate lobbyists to do their bidding for those corporate interests. So, expose it and put democrats in congress who can't be corrupted in this or any other manner.

<on edit> I don't think such an investigation would find many democrats <if any> who violate young pages, but it most certainly would expose more republican who are. So have at it.

10. I'm inclined to agree.
Unfortunately, the repubs are the ones who make the louder noise about this stuff. Now they are in denial. Some dems are just as vile, but the repubs are the ones who say "that's wrong" while doing it. Unless there's a hidden message, something's very wrong with the scenario. Hypocrisy.

It'd be like me, becoming a corporate leader after using Americans to build up my business for years -- and then offshore it all to a bunch of folks in countries that aren't going to care about America (or me ) because it just means a few extra dollars in profit for me.

Edited on Sun Oct-01-06 11:29 AM by johnfunk
Start confronting them on:
1) pervy little perv and alleged cyberpedophile Mark Foley and
2) the family-values, what-about-the-children hypocrisy of the Republican Party

... and what happens to them?

'Nuff said.
