| Could bush have possibly done a worse job in Iraq? |
 |
Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 03:04 AM by The_Casual_Observer
I am hard pressed to imagine how he could have screwed up the Iraq war any worse than it is right now. He seems to have covered all the bases.
* Invaded the place by mistake, none of the threatening weapons that we went in to "disarm" were there.
* Tortured prisoners of war
* Underestimated the strength of the enemy
* Put the troops in situations where they have been ambushed countless times
* Killed thousands of innocents
* Destroyed the infrastructure & can't repair it
* Allowed the development of an insurgency that is now out of control
* No plan for ever ending the thing
Did I leave anything out?

| 2. You left a lot out. It should be in the present tense; it's ongoing and |
 |
happening. People are dying, and the person in control doesn't have a clue and couldn't care less, imo I'm angry our country is reduced to this dimson/blivet.

Fascism DOESN'T make ANY sense.
THAT'S its most important 'characteristic.'
It's all about power and killing. Any of the other things on your list don't count except for funneling billions of dollars to the Military Industrial Complex who keep the Power&Killing Party in Power.
It's all about killing and power. Oh, yea, and torture. That's IT. There is no 'end.'
Stop trying to make sense. There is no sense. The only thing is Power and Killing. The death, torture and stealing from Our Treasury will continue on a rapid pace. That IS the POINT.

| 5. He did NOT invade by "mistake." |
 |
It was his intention to invade Iraq from before he even "won" the election.
He was NOT deceived by "intelligence." He fabricated the intelligence to justify an invasion.
The current outcome was inevitable from the moment of invasion. AND RELIABLE PEOPLE TOLD HIM SO.

| 6. I was just going to say the same thing. Wolfowitz was harping about Iraq |
 |
even before 9/11.
The neocons wanted war with Iraq and nothing was going to stop them. 9/11 gave them the "Pearl Harbor" that they needed ...it was all over but the crying at that point.

asking "could they possibly do worse" in regards to anything from Iraq to Katrina to Global Warming, ad nauseum is like a challenge to the testosterone filled freeper mindset:
"OH YEAH! Who says we can't do worse. We can do worser than worse! We are the worser than anybody, just watch..."
and then they put their whole braincell into proving it.
Don't tempt fate with this type of query.
Really.

| 9. But he did what he was asked to do,.he looted our treasury for his friends |
 |
He handed over 500 billion of our hard earned dollars to his rich buddies. THAT'S what it was all about and that's why he's their hero.
