Amazing how folks who never fought on the battlefield and never will
nor will their children, are so zealous to have laws that allow torture and war tribunals in which defendents won't have access to evidence against them and in some cases won't even know the charges against them. Yet the men and women who HAVE fought on the battlefield unanimously agree that torture is not the answer nor should evidence obtained under torture be used in these trials. What absolute arrogance of the chickenhawks. And in the hell don't the Dems who are fighting agaist this and their Republican coharts like McCain speak out more to the American people about this. They should all be saying that this shit is mostly coming from those who have never served in the military and never fought in a battle.

1. More proof that combat experience turns people into wimps.
That's why Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz & co. remain right-thinking, courageous proponents of American empire while losers like Kerry, Murtha & Cleland end up nattering, niggling and generally getting in the way of progress.

2. Patriotism is for poor people
Wars are waged by the elite and fought with by the poor
And the elite use patriotism to get the poor people fired up and supporting their aggressions.

You never see the wealthy send their children to fight these wars.

4. It is.
There are some applicable quotes that come to mind but I can't remember them word for word right now.
Suffice it to say it is "those who have never been to war who cry for it the loudest".
