Neo-Cons 9/11-Themed Ad Tells Americans: 'Your Life Depends On YOUR Vote'
9/11-themed ad to tell Americans 'life depends' on their vote

RAW STORY
Published: Monday September 11, 2006

A new ad set to be placed in key markets by a neoconservative think tank will tell Americans that their lives literally depend on their votes in the upcoming midterm election, RAW STORY has learned.

Over images of the 2001 attack on the World Trade Center, an off-camera narrator will tell voters in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Missouri, Virginia and Vermont that "the world is a dangerous place. Islamic terrorists hate us for who we are and what we stand for."

The Center for Security Policy, an organization linked to a number of well-known neoconservatives, produced the ad. http://pointers.audiovideoweb.com/stcasx/ny60win16080/eresources/warfooting/cut_low.wmv/play.asx Though it claims to be nonpartisan, it centers around the widely-used Republican "cut and run" talking point.

The sixty-second spot argues that an exit from Iraq would be seen as a sign of weakness by America's enemies. Anti-American statements from a variety of Muslims in middle eastern countries are also displayed on screen as the narrator continues, "The next time someone suggests America should cut-and-run from the war on terror, ask them, 'run to where?'"

4. That's IT, I've had enough
I'm going to make a commercial where I take on those who trash anyone with sense and uses the term "CUT AND RUN"..

Because as I see it, all those who use that term were the ones that "RAN AND HID" When their country asked them to serve during Vietnam.

THEY ARE ASKING FOR IT, and I'm just the guy to Give it to them :)

Can someone give me the link to the commercial so I don't have to run the RawStory AD gauntlet? I just want the actual link to the actual video, please.. thanks..

5. US was 225 years old in '01 and only under a REPUBLICAN were we
successfully attacked at home by foreign forces. Of course, the Republican/Christian, Tim McVay, successfully attacked us too. At least he was caught, tried and fried under non-republican leadership.

6. Have They No Shame? Obviously Not.
Will their desperate scare tactics work? Given the incredible media press with this as a theme, along with the ubiquitous focus on the 9/11 anniversary and all the myriad planned events around it... it's going to work on some--especially the "backwash" percentage.

Hopefully, by now though, enough people will see through it and recognize it for the desperation it represents. Does any of this mean we'll win through the covert electoral fraud (on which countless millions will have been spent) which will no doubt be at an all-time high? Only time will tell.

9. Does anyone remember in the 04 elections when
PDiddy's voting slogan was "Vote or Die" the Republican outrage and the mockery of the slogan...I find it ironic that they are using a similar ad...once again folks they have nothing so they have to use Democratic slogans and methods....
