I don't watch much television, but I admit I will feel the loss of "Lost." I only watch one other television show and that is "Medium" on NBC. Please tell me I can still enjoy that bit of brain candy in clear conscience.
I've been threatening my children with unplugging the television set (Noggin, National Geographic channel and videos) and throwing it out a window. There really isn't much reason not to go ahead and do that, is there?

| 1. I'm just glad I don't pay for tv. |

I liked Grey's Anatomy but I can certainly do without it.
I liked the CSI shows but I can certainly do without them.
I do have Netflix and a little money to buy dvd's.
I have books and I know how to read.
And I have the internet where I can access sites like DU (smiling smiley).

| 3. I paid for cable TV for five years |

Without ever hooking it up because I had to get it to get cable internet. My provider finally created a cable internet only package.
I honestly feel a lot smarter and less anxious about things since I stopped watching TV (although I confess I watch all the clips from the Daily Show and the Colbert Report that I can). The news media just try to scare people for ratings. Reading the news on the internet, coming here and other places to get different views on issues, engaging in cyber and real life debates... I feel I'm better informed than most people.
