Thank you, Randi Rhodes
I have no idea if she visits DU, but I must say thank you.

She has a contract. At the same time, she's fighting for someone else's career. I have to hand it to her: She's got guts.

Again, Randi, thank you; if the Air America suits thought Mike's contract was "too expensive" before, wait till they try to renegotiate.

Julie

2. Randi is asking Malloy listeners to write to Air America
[email protected]

Ask for Mike Malloy's reinstatement. Be polite.

4. I already did (before Mike said he wouldn't go back to AAR even if
they begged him.) So, either (1) Mike didn't mean it, or (2) Randi isn't aware of Mike's declaration.

12. Randi said she had not been able to reach Mike, so she probably

doesn't know he said it. But you know, even if Mike doesn't want to go back to AAR, I think AAR owes him an apology for how he was let go -- he was on his way to work, fer crying out loud! AND I think AAR owes an apology and an explanation to the AAR listeners who are fans of Mike's. Maybe the petitions and calls and emails and letters will goad them into doing something decent.

17. You're right. Our outrage needs to be heard regardless of Mike's stance
right now. Randi is back up on the pedestal as far as I'm concerned. What a huge blunder on AAR's part. (Shaking head in disgust and bewilderment.)

13. A bouquet of roses and a case of Amber Bock
for a woman who never, ever backs down.

If the group could ever raise that kind of money on her behalf, it's hard for me to believe she wouldn't want the rest donated to a vets' organization.

5. I'm proud of her, too
AAR put the quietus on everyone else. Maybe she's the only one with the power inside the operation to speak out without fear of reprisal.

Any way you slice it, I think she respected Mike as someone who's spent the years in the business honing a craft, just as she has. As such, it appears she was willing to speak up for that.

Good on her.

9. There isn't a lot they can do to her at this point, IMHO
>Maybe she's the only one with the power inside the operation to speak out without fear of reprisal.<

Al Franken's planning on running for office, is he not? It'll be another hole in their schedule. She's one of the personalities that get people tuning in. Love her or hate her, she's made enough of an impact that they recently re-signed her.

She's the 800-pound gorilla around there right now. Good for her.

11. IF Franken runs for Senate...
...wouldn't they just put Thom Hartmann on in his place since he's on at the same time and AAR is (god help you Thom!) syndicating him now!? But then again, this IS AAR we're talking about, and their track record, especially with firing Mike, so far leaves a LOT to be desired...

10. She said today that she always considered herself The Mad Hatter
till she met Mike and realized that he was even madder! LOL She has a link on her site for POLITE email, phone calls, etc in support of Mike. She's a class act.

6. Good for Randi! Mike became her go-to guy when
she wasn't able to do her show and needed a fill-in.

I've already contacted AAR and canceled my Premium membership but I don't see any harm in contacting them once again.

It's sad to see AAR turning into MORANS.
