Congressman Conyers:More Optimism
Although this is a long weekend in which many people will be away or traveling, I wanted to share a front-page, above-the-fold article in today's Washington Post which brings further good news for our prospects this November.

It notes a couple senior Republican advisors who rate our chances to take back the House at 75% in one instance and 90% in another. One of those weighing in is a White House staffer. While we can't count our eggs before they're hatched, this is, of course, very promising.

We will find ourselves in a big fight no matter what the polls or the prognosticators are saying. This is expected to be one of the nastiest elections in recent memory. In spite of all our perceived advantages, we will need to win this election on the ground. So no matter how confident you may be of our successes this November, we need you to help your local democratic candidates.
