Los Angeles wants to keep track of council members' ties to lobbyists
I cant find a link to this story yet because I heard it on the radio a few minutes ago (AM 980 - KFWB for those of you who think I'm getting this from talk radio), but apparently the city of LA wants to keep close watch on any council member that even talks to a lobbyist because of what's going on in capital hill (*COUGH* Abramoff *COUGH*). They have to fill out forms saying they talked to a lobbyist, what the intention of the meeting was, if they received any money from the meeting, and the duration of the meeting.

I'll see if I can go find a link to the story.
