The 2001 Anthrax Attacks 5 years on: Is this a Cold Case still?
Anyone remember that? Right after nine eleven, some schmucks sent anthrax through the mail and killed three people? Weapons grade anthrax that could only have come from a govt. lab?

Did they ever catch the perp? I remember bush saying that he wouldn't be surprised if Saddam had done it. Whatever happened to that mysterious case?

Didn't Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy, both Democratic senators, receive the death letters too? Didn't dick cheney and bush personally call both these men up and tell them to lay off any investigations into nine eleven, or did I just make that up cause I hate bush?

Just what WAS the deal with that anthrax attack anyway?

2. Cold case file
Who did it isn't important because only Dems, the "liberal" media and general rabble suffered. :sarcasm:

Besides, the attacks did what they were intended to do: helped Bush** scare everyone into believing that Iraq had bio weapons.

4. The number of cold case files that have accumulated since the year 2000
could reverse global warming and cause a deep freeze. Or put another way...when Hell freezes over.

7. I am constantly amazed that everyone just tries to pretend there
was no anthrax attack. IT KILLED PEOPLE! Leaders in both the political arena and the media were threatened. Who knew that the terrorists disliked Democrats so much? Why does no reporter (calling Helen Thomas) take the opportunity to ask * or Cheney about an update and progress on the anthrax killer/terrorist?

Every once in a while I post this same question because I find the mass amnesia so annoying.

10. How many people work in anthrax labs?
Edited on Thu Aug-24-06 08:08 AM by wuushew
We know the strain of anthrax, we should have an idea when and where the packages were mailed and we know the mailer hates Democrats and members of the media.

Given these factors why are not able to eliminate every unlikely suspect and arrive a one or two likely "lone nuts".

There are only two possibilities

(a) Incompetence at the FBI

(b) government complicity.

15. The Anthrax attacks were Political Assassination Attempts
The attacks began less than a week after 9/11
They were directed at:
1. The media/paper which wrote stories about the Bush Cyclone Sisters
2. Liberal Media journalists who could pose a threat to the Bush Reich by reporting the truth
3. Opposition Political Leaders who could provide opposition to the forth coming Patriot Act
4. Any civilian causalities were considered collaterial damage and were expendable entities
5. The attacks were conducted specifically and intentionally inside of Congress to intimidate Congress
The weapon used was government / military produced weaponized/aerosolized
weapons grade Anthrax, originating from a Government/BushReich controlled facility.
The head of the investigation was Michael Chertoff, then at the Dept of Justice
The FBI agents were routinely rotated off the case and replaced with other agents, to prevent continuity
This was a blatant Political Opposition Assassination operation-no different than any similar political assassinations done in any other totalitarian regime elsewhere in the world.
The orders and planning/targeting of this operation originated at the highest levels of the BushReich regime and were in all likelyhood carried out by Felix Rodriguez, who has worked with Bush Sr. since the JFK assassination, killing political enemies in 'Nam and Latin America.
He is also a member of the Swift Boat Scumbags for Fascism.
This parallels the total corruption and manipulation of the American election process.
The Bush Regime will use and has used abolutely any means necessary to rule and control America thru their Shadow Government.

16. yes, but the majority of the people think Repugs
better protect Americans, doncha know? It seems some proud patriots seem to have complete amnesia about the anthrax attack. It was bad enough, that our government states they don't know who did the put options after 9/11, couldn't seem to take the warnings of Colleen Rowley, other FBI agents seriously or even take the damn August PDB seriously, but those neo-cons can better protect us!!!!! yeah, right--I feel less protected with this bunch, as a matter of fact, I feel like they endanger my family, my community, my city. But, listening to Rove, if we only had illegal wire tapping--what a bunch of shite!!!!! Some of you call us conspiracy theorists, but I know some of the info. on Iran-Contra, the BCCI, the sleezy drug-terrorist dealing. How can you not be leery of the timings of the anthrax mailings, the death of Wellstone, 9/11? Families lost loved ones in the postal service, media was targeted, opposing politicians were targeted--I ask why more Americans aren't suspicious? Largest AFB closed in SA, our foreign policy has increased violence in the ME (hence, more recruitments for Al Quaeda) and boogeyman Saddam Hussein, a sectarian dictator and no friend of OBL, is taken out. How has these foreign policy decisions helped us? What happens when those who enforce the laws, those we are supposed to trust, become the lawless? How much are they willing to sacrifice for their grand schemes of empire-because where I'm sitting, it looks like every last American is seen as expendable, collateral damage!!!! Right now, I feel like I'm on a train going over 100 MPH ready to hit a wall. All Americans will pay a steep price for not being more attentive, in believing the corporate media spin, for believing the outright lies. Is the grand experiment dead? Those ideals of what are country is supposed to represent, is it gone? I guess, time will tell.

18. The Neocons are a bigger threat to Americans then any Muslim
The one thing which we can't monitor is their purging of military leaders who are moderate centrists and replacing them with Religious
Extremists.
Case in point, the religious extremist bludgeoning going on at the Air Force Academy.
When they bring back the draft and totally and blatantly corrupt the 2008 Presidential elections, they will unleash the military on America.
Kent State wasn't shit compared to what is coming.
Their biggest mistake will be using National Guard troops, who have seen the bullshit of Iraq, against American citizens. At that point, anything can happen.
