| High Sierras Mountain Climbing - No News for 7 days - Wonderful!!! |
|
Just got back from a 7 day mountain climbing trip in the high Sierra Mountains (12,600 ft) near Yosemite. Having no contact with the daily nightmare of Smirky's reign and the corrupt MSM was incredible and very refreshing. I recommend it to all DU junkies. Cheers!

Hope you had good weather and a great time. I try to get away for at least two weekends a year to the Rockies, where the only input I get is what nature puts in front of me.
This weekend wasn't a complete getaway, but I did spend three days with a few thousand other music lovers at the Folks Festival in Lyons, Colorado.
Was your trip just non-technical hiking, or did you do some serious climbing too?
Did you take any pictures? Can you post some?

The landing must be rough and one has to fight to keep wild areas wild because the Bu$hites want to drill and mine everywhere. Bu$hie along with Pete Dominici here in New Mexico want to drill in the Valle Caldera and although it isn't wild wild it is a treasure. They also want to ruin the Otero, etc. Another horror, since Nevada didn't want the military to blow the big blue thingie there, now they want to do it at White Sands where the first atomic bomb was exploded! But you are right, we have to enjoy what is is left as long as we can and fight to keep it for us and the future generations!
