3. Ooh, I will. I did it for about three days several months
ago and my life was so much better in every way. I had more energy, was happier, and actually thought MUCH more clearly, which I had been having trouble with--a big problem when you're writing a research paper. I gotta check the weather, though, but otherwise I think a break would do a lot of us a lot of good. I hate walking around pissed off and feeling hopeless all the time.

Great idea!

24. A few more internet tv links for ya.
www.TV4all.com has 1500 worldwide stations. www.worldlinktv.com , www.comedycentral.com , http://www.tvover.net/TVStation,search,0-0-0-0-0-q=cool... I watch all these and order Netflix movies. It makes for a much healthier brain these days.

Yup, outside of sports (mainly baseball) I hardly watch anything on TV. Except for Jon Stewart / Stephen Colbert. Everything else I watch is on DVD because I cant stand watching commercials.

19. Life without TV - lets see....
time to hang out with my friends, time to read, time to make art, time to make nice meals with my SO, time to hang out on DU, time to go to a yoga class, time to volunteer in my various communities of interest, time to brush up on my Italian and maybe learn a little Kreyol, time to have crazy SM sex, time to work in the garden, time to go for a hike....

tough call. not.

23. Turn off cable get DSL.
I have turned off my T.V. for over 2 weeeks now. That's not the longest I have had it off though ,I've went for over a year before. We need to get word out and set a date. they need to know we are not watching and their big corporate advertisers need to know too .cspan has videos online ,but that may be cheating if we quit watching T.V. and watch corporate media online.

30. I haven't had cable in a couple of years and I rarely watch the morning
drivel. I get most of my news and info online. Sometimes I watch the nightly news but more often try and catch the local news. I think a boycott is in order and a great idea! I'm sure I can hack it without the few network evening programs I like like Rock Star Supernova, etc. I can always find out who the winner is online.

The bastards need to feel the pinch in their wallets! :grr:

32. I recently watched TV for the first time in a long time
and was aghast at how the so-called "news" networks have become little more than propaganda tools and shameless hucksters of sensationalism. And the local TV "news" was not much better, with daily reports on everyday items that could "end the life of you or someone you love"
