| So I accidentally ended up on a phone call with Howard Dean today |
|
I was on a conference call from my house to our State Dem HQ when I was disconnected. I called back and asked to get patched through to the conference room that I was previously patched into and instead was given a toll free number and numeric code. Called the number, punched in the code and next thing I know I'm on a conferece call between Democratic women and Howard Dean! What a trip.

want their voices leaking into the call - he was talking about diversity in the party. Mostly it was the women praising him before I had to click off.

| 4. He's working his ass off! |

I've seen him a few times whenever he came anywhere near, watched him closely (I HATE being disappointed once I give myself to something). I believe his strongest motivation comes from a desire to see Health Care solutions that work for as many Americans as possible, but certainly, ***at least***, for our Children.

| 11. I'm convinced that he actually cares. |

I'm a child of the '60s, born and bred on idealsim but confirmed into adulthood with disappointment, and a certain amount of cynicism, so I've got a hyper-sensitive hypocrisy meter.
Dean has had times when he was insecure, but since he's learned to smile more, you can see who he really is. The media has him all wrong. Being for national health care doesn't make him crazy. We COULD do this; there are enough re$ource$ to go around. There are just too many people working to convince others that we CAN'T do it, supposedly because we can't afford it and that's a lie.
