7. the era of greed...
and when I think about American history...it blows my mind that this country is so young. The past hundred years laid the ground work for our current place in time. When I think about the WRGrace's, the Morgans, the Mellon-Scaife's, the Koch's, the DuPont's...those hundred or so uber-rich families who's influence has creeped into every corner of our daily lives...I wonder what world they see..and what their justifications sound like. You would think there were no life at all before these elite climbed their way over corpses to reach the pinnacle of wealth and power.
