Meanwhile we have a General (I think he was) who stated that we should not gauge success or failure on attacks by insurgents. Oh no? Let's see...

How about we gauge success or failure on the insurgency's continued ability to launch an increasing number of attacks due to our inability or failure to stop them? Or how about we gauge success or failure on the insurgency's ever increasing effectiveness at killing the Iraqi people? Or how about we gauge success or failure on our own ability to build schools, keep the electricity, or supplying running water and sewage to Iraq?

Right... I guess that would be too practical and down to earth for Mr. I Create My Own Reality.

Our military really is being led by people like this General? I guess that's why we're losing and the Iraqi people are dying.
