"Mr. Bush, you ask if we could imagine what would happen if we were to leave Iraq right now? My question is: Did you imagine any of this before you decided to invade Iraq?"

I see so many people jumping on the press during these news conferences. If you asked that question in the OP, you'd get the same response he's given before, or a variation thereof: a long, rambling "long, hard work" "no cut and run" kind of answer that wouldn't answer your question.

And if someone did manage to get a zinger in, it would be big news for 24 hours, then disappear. No one talks about Colbert's speech at the writer's dinner anymore.

News conferences with this president are like nailing jello to a wall. The left isn't going to get him that way.
